31st Officials Seminar 2026
The 31st Officials Seminar took place in Copenhagen from 20–22 March. Thanks go to Morten Froulund and the Danish Federation for their excellent hosting.
Presentations from the seminar can be downloaded from the Waterski Europe website.
For the 2027 Officials Seminar, there is a current intention to organise it in Toulouse by the French Federation — though the hosting opportunity remains open for bids from other federations.
Copenhagen 2026
Three days of expert-led sessions covering rule changes, new technology, and best practices for officials at all levels.

Trick Training Videos 2026
A new set of training videos has been developed featuring the Preliminary Rounds from the 2025 World Open Championships. With a total of 186 passes and accompanying Master Sheets, there are endless possibilities for training before the season gets underway.
Officials & Exams
Federations should annually review their national officials lists (Level 3 and 4) and inform the WSC of any changes. Federations are also responsible for keeping EMS records up to date.

Online Level 3 Exam Papers — Now Available
The WSC has developed a series of online exam papers for Level 3 Officials, available to National Federations for €100/year for unlimited use. Launched in 2024, these papers promote a common standard across all federations. Information on accessing the system can be found on the WSC website.
Officials Panels 2026
The panels for 2026 were appointed at the Seminar in Copenhagen. A number of positions are still open — check the lists on the Waterski Europe website and add your name to the Officials list on EMS if interested.
Officials Expenses – European Titled Events
The following costs will be covered for officials at European Titled Events in 2026:
Travel costs from home to the closest airport of the event will be covered based on an economy flight ticket cost. The claim is reviewed for reasonableness.
Own car or other transport will be reimbursed up to the same amount as an equivalent economy fare.
All claims must reflect actual costs and be supported by receipts.
Claim forms must be completed within 30 days of the event; payment will be made within 40 days. Claims after this deadline will be rejected.
Submit claims to Stian.Lilleberg@waterskieurope.eu. Claim forms and submission instructions are available on the Waterski Council website.
Homologation & Technology Hub
Now officially approved by the World Council and ready for use in competitions. Followed extensive testing in 2025 with great results.
Continues to evolve with significant new and updated applications announced by Donal Connolly. Visit splasheye.com to explore.
In 2025 many dossiers were submitted with errors. Common issues: mismatched homologation levels, incomplete dossiers, wrong result uploads, and survey date errors. All Homologators must be vigilant. Contact Candido for assistance.
WaterSkiConnect
In the E. Lion Scoring software, the WaterSkiConnect function creates automated data transfer between the different software used in competition — minimising manual data input by the Scorer.
IWWF Drivers Portal
All drivers must register at www.drivers.ski and then log in to the Rover in the boat using their personal PIN number when they start driving, logging out when finished. This ensures that personal data remains theirs and theirs alone.
Some drivers are not yet registered, and some registered drivers are not logging in when driving. Full instructions are available at www.drivers.ski.
Ranking Lists
World Ranking Lists
Available on EMS. The system is highly flexible and updated frequently, allowing lists to be viewed at World, Confederation, and Federation level.
European Ranking Lists
European Ranking Lists have now been incorporated into EMS, bringing all ranking data into a single, unified platform.
Safe Sport
All officials must be aware of the IWWF Safe Sport Policy and Regulations and their responsibilities. All event bulletins refer to these policies — in particular to the ban on initiation (hazing) ceremonies.
Download the official policy documents to stay informed and compliant.
