Belarusian Athlete Participation Update

IWWF EB decision 16th May 2026 as follows:

1.⁠ ⁠Athletes and teams from Belarus will be permitted to participate in all IWWF-sanctioned events under their country’s flag. Belarusian athletes, currently registered under the IWWF flag, will be reassigned to compete under their country’s flag with immediate effect.

2.⁠ ⁠Athletes from Russia will continue to participate in all IWWF-sanctioned events under the IWWF flag.

3.⁠ ⁠The above resolutions shall take effect from 1 June 2026.
